Welcome
As a doula, I am here to support you and accompany you on your journey to parenthood. Here is an overview of how I work and what you can expect if you choose to hire me:
1. An initial free meeting: We start by meeting for a relaxed and free conversation. This is an opportunity for me to present myself and my methods. You don't have to share anything personal if you don't want to - it's entirely on your terms.
2. Building trust: For me, it is important that you feel safe and that we have good contact. That it feels right between us is crucial for you to feel comfortable throughout the process.
3. Subsequent meetings: If you decide to go ahead with me as your doula, we will schedule more meetings, preferably at your home. During these moments, we explore your thoughts, feelings and expectations before the birth. We will also talk about how the body reacts to feelings and thoughts during childbirth.
4. Understanding the Birth Process: I will share how our bodies, thoughts and emotions work together during birth. Together we will discuss relaxation and pain relief.
5. Preparation for birth: During our meetings we go through the different parts of the birth process and practice techniques that can increase your well-being, relieve pain and facilitate childbirth. We also talk about the baby's journey into the world. I am by your side, both physically and emotionally, to provide support when the time comes.
If you want to know more or book an initial meeting, you are most welcome to get in touch. Through the booking page, it is possible to pay with Klarna and preparatory calls are eligible for health caare/Friskvård.
The doula effect is a term used in maternity care to describe the positive impact of having a doula present during birth. A doula is a trained birth partner who provides emotional support, information and physical comfort to the birthing woman and her partner. Research has shown that when a doula is present during labor, the risk of medical interventions and cesarean sections is reduced. Additionally, women who have had a doula often report feeling more satisfied with their birth experience and having an easier time establishing breastfeeding. The doula effect reminds us of the significant role that support and presence can play during one of life's most defining moments. Link to research.
